Is Authra free to use?
Yes. Authra is completely free to add and use in your server. There are no paid tiers, no premium features, and no ads.
What data does Authra store about my members?
Only the minimum: your server's ID, the user's Discord ID, and a timestamp of when they verified. That's it.
We don't store emails, IP addresses, message content, or anything else — and we never sell or share data with third parties.
How does the verification flow actually work?
When a member clicks the Verify button, they're taken to Discord's official OAuth2 page. After they authorize, Discord sends a callback to Authra, and we assign the verified role automatically.
No passwords are ever entered on our side — the entire flow happens on Discord's domain.
Can I use a custom verified role?
Yes. When you run /setup, you can pick any role in your server as the verified role. Authra doesn't require any specific role name.
Which permissions does Authra need?
Only Manage Roles. It needs this to assign the verified role and remove the pending role. Nothing else — no message reading, no member management, no admin access.
Can I customize the message text or colors?
Not yet, but the panel is designed to be clean and functional out of the box. If you have strong opinions about the wording or colors, join the support server — feedback shapes what gets built next.
The verification panel button isn't working — what do I do?
Make sure Authra's role is positioned above the verified role in your server's role hierarchy, and that it has the Manage Roles permission.
If the issue continues, join the support server and we'll help you out.
How do I remove Authra from my server?
Just kick the bot like any other member. You can optionally run /reset first to clear your server's configuration, or request data deletion via the support server.

1 — Invite the bot
You need Manage Server to add Authra. The bot requests Manage Roles, which it needs to assign your verified role. Nothing else.
2 — Configure with /setup
Run /setup in your server. Authra walks you through picking the verified and not-verified roles, then posts the verification panel.
3 — Sync commands (if needed)
Discord sometimes takes a few minutes to propagate slash commands. If they don't appear, run /sync.

Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Server data: server ID, name, and configuration set by admins — the verified role.
- User data: your Discord user ID and a timestamp of when you verified.
What we don't collect
- Passwords or credentials — verification uses Discord's official OAuth flow.
- Message content, emails, IP addresses, or payment details.
- Any data from servers Authra hasn't been explicitly added to.
How we use it
Only to operate the bot: verifying members, granting roles, and letting admins review configuration. We don't sell, rent, or share data with third parties.
Retention
Server configuration is kept while Authra is in your server. If you remove the bot, you can request deletion of your server's data via the support server.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards and store the minimum needed for the bot to function. No system is perfectly secure — we just don't keep more than we need.
Children
Authra is for use on Discord, which requires users to be at least 13 (or older depending on your country). We don't knowingly collect data from users below that age.
Changes
This policy may be updated. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated version.

We aren't liable for damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the bot — including lost members, missed verifications, or server disruptions.
Termination
We may restrict or terminate access at any time, for any reason, including violation of these terms.
Changes
These terms may be updated. Continued use of Authra constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
